As a new patient at our practice, one of our providers will complete a comprehensive dental exam. The comprehensive exam allows the provider to identify what dental work was previously done, the state of your current oral health, and what future services might be needed. X-rays and periodontal charting will be required at the time of your comprehensive exam.
As part of your hygiene visits, your provider will do periodic dental exams. These examinations allow us to monitor the health of your teeth, gums, and overall oral cavity. As part of your exam, we may recommend:
A limited or problem-focused exam is an evaluation one of the providers will do in the case of a dental issue that arises in between your routine visits. The focus of this visit is diagnosis of the area of concern. Since we are focused on diagnosis and seeing you as soon as possible, treatment is not guaranteed at the time of examination. Our schedule can accommodate these exams by appointment only; no walk-ins.
